Visitors with Herman Holley (right) owner of Turkey Hill Farm, Tallahassee

“Thanks to the arrangements made by Faith Clarke, we were invited to visit an organic tomato grower in Sopchoppy Florida; a blueberry farm just outside Tallahassee and the largest organic vegetable grower in the Tallahassee area. Two Chinese students from Tianjin Foreign Studies University in Tianjin, China joined the excursions. During the visits, the owners spent a great deal of time teaching us the processes and showing us the farm. It was a very informative experience and the Chinese students went back to China understanding that the U.S. does not consist of only large growers. The students also were fascinated with the organic process. Each of the owners of the Tallahassee area farms were kind and thorough answering our questions. It was a tour and experience we will never forget.”
